Frequently Asked Questions

  • Depends on a few factors like the size and cleanliness of your vehicle’s underbody. That being said a typical Goo treatment takes one to two hours.

Other services, such as detailing or ceramic coating, take longer. If you need to know a specific timeframe, call or text us and we’ll give you an estimate.

  • Gottsch’s Goo™ protects your vehicle for up to 18 months.

  • You can view our pricing on the appointment booking page here. You have the option to choose your vehicle size (small, medium, and large), and that will give you an idea of the cost. One note: The underside of your vehicle must be clean before we can apply the Goo. If it requires extensive cleaning, we may apply a wash fee.

  • You can wash your car immediately after your appointment. Gottsch’s Goo™ does not trap moisture. It literally pushes it away, leaving behind a corrosion-fighting lubricating film.

  • The secret ingredient that gives Gottsch's Goo the power to creep and penetrate without dripping all over your driveway or garage is called CSC850. Additionally, numerous highly refined chemicals are used in Gottsch's Goo. It is very light and has all the benefits of an old-fashioned annual spray treatment, in addition to being eco-friendly and non-toxic.

  • Whenever! Gottsch's Goo goes on clean no matter the weather outside, and it can immediately withstand the elements. Plus, a single treatment lasts 18 months, so you're guaranteed to be covered through at least one winter (or any other season!).

  • A few after care notes (we give every customer a physical copy of this checklist, too):

    • The coating is good for 18 months

    • A slight burn smell and steam may occur for the first hour after treatment

    • Use caution when power-washing wheel wells/arches. Goo will shift around chassis and can be unintentionally cleaned off with aggressive cleaning methods

    • If Goo is unintentionally cleaned off or removed due to repairs, free touch-ups are included during the 18-month protection period

    • The vehicle is static-wrapped prior to service. Slight smudging on paint may occur

    • The Goo is single-stage safe, lacquer paint safe, ceramic coating safe, and wax safe

    • (If deep foam cleaning add-on is performed) Slight water drips for a few hours are normal with this service
